Our Staff
Minister  |  Music Ministry   |  Church Administrator

We are blessed by the staff; Rev, Jennifer Palin, Jaren McLeod, Christina (Tina) Faye, and our custodian Kim Morgan. This team work together to help us fulfill our Mission and Vision. The diversity of their experience and qualifications makes this a dynamic group.

Approximately fifty volunteers serve on the church Council and its various committees.  Other members and adherents volunteer regularly to maintain the buildings and the landscaping, prepare the sanctuary for worship, act as ushers, greeters and coffee hosts, and support events such as funeral receptions and the annual Fall Sale.

Rev. Jennifer Palin, M.A., M.Ed., M.Div.
Minister
For Rev. Jennifer Palin, ministry is a calling to allow herself to be inspired and re-inspired every day by God's Spirit. Since the Spirit "blows where it will", her life has been varied, with the Spirit leading her to work with many different peoples, but a common thread has been visioning and working towards justice, wholeness and integrity for all of God's people, especially lifting up for care those who have been oppressed and marginalized. Her vision for the church is a place and a people who allow themselves to be gathered together by the Spirit's call, to be a community of faith who dare to bear witness when there is hurt in the world, and who dare to testify on behalf of God's loving good news that hurts can be healed and abundant life for all people can be made real. Jesus showed us The Way. Our calling is to follow.

Christina (Tina) Faye

Christina (Tina) Faye was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario and still has family there and visits regularly. She started playing piano when she was six years old, and the organ when she was 13. At 18, she moved to Manitoba to attend Brandon University, and 4 years later moved to Rochester New York to obtain a Masters at the Eastman School of music. While there, she met her now husband, Stephen Lecik, who is a trombone player from Chicago. After finishing in Rochester, she moved to Toronto and has been living here ever since.
Christina has 2 younger sisters, Summer (who is going to school in Kitchener-Waterloo) and Rachel (who has just started at the University of Toronto and is living with her!). She also shares her home with two cats, Darwin and Agnes, and owns a horse who is boarded near Milton named Rain. Tina and Stephen are long time vegetarians, and Stephen currently works as a baker at two popular Toronto bakeries. Tina is a very active performer on the Toronto music scene and enjoys collaborating with many interesting Toronto instrumentalists and singers. She is very happy to be joining the Donway family!.

Kim Morgan

Custodian

Kim was born on the small island of St Lucia. He graduated from Castries Comprehensive Secondary School in 1994 and shortly thereafter moved from the sunny warm climate of the Caribbean to the nasty cold winters of Toronto.

Today Kim is happily married to Sylvia and together they have two sons, Alexander & Andrew.

Kim has lived in the Don Mills area of Toronto for the past 9 years, 6 of which have been spent working as our custodian. We are grateful to have him.
