Our History

We having been building relationships and contributing to the Don Mills Community since 1955.

How it all began.

Donway United Church was formed in February 1955 to serve the north-west quadrant of Don Mills. Members met at Norman Ingram Memorial School until the church buildings were constructed in 1956 at 230 The Donway West.

Two become one.

The Donway Covenant United Church was formed in November 1992 with the amalgamation of the two congregations - Donway United Church and Covenant United Church - Oriole from the Henry Farms area.

A place where all are welcome.

The Donway Covenant became an affirming congregation of a United Church of Canada in 2018 that commits to inclusivity of everyone including those who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, two-spirited persons (2SLGBTQ+); marginalized for any reason, including race or age; economically disadvantaged; developmentally or physically challenged.
